GP.Bank migrates to TranzWare from Compass Plus

20 March 2014

Compass Plus, an international provider of retail banking and electronic payments software to processors and financial institutions, has announced that it has successfully migrated Global Petro Bank (GP.Bank), a relatively young and ambitious bank in Vietnam, to its TranzWare platform.

The project, which went live in Autumn 2013, saw the bank implement TranzWare Online, TranzWare CMS, TranzWare Interchange and TranzWare Card Factory to enable it to offer a number of additional products and services to its customers, including credit cards under the MasterCard brand. GP.Bank’s card business was successfully migrated to TranzWare without the need to reissue any of its cards currently in circulation. The bank’s ATM and POS terminal networks were also migrated as part of the scope of this project.

The team of Compass Plus specialists also provided additional services, which included the implementation of an online interface to its core banking system and certification in the regional payment scheme BankNetVN.

Lai Huyen Linh, Director of the Card Center at Global Petro Bank, said of the project: “As a result of joint work, on behalf of the GP.Bank, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Compass Plus’ implementation team, as they did a great job on supporting us along the entire project. Because of the strong support, the GP.Bank system was able to go-live for local debit cards as scheduled in September 2013. We are also looking forward to utilizing Compass Plus’ support with future projects, such as the implementation of credit cards and certification in MasterCard.”
