Compass Plus, an international provider of retail banking and electronic payments software to processors and financial institutions, announced its recent International TranzWare and TranzAxis User Group (IT²UG) was its most successful yet. The bi-annual event, which took place 24-28 February in Cancun, Mexico, brought together 130 attendees from 40 organizations in 18 countries around the world spanning TranzWare and TranzAxis users, technology and business partners, payments system representatives and other experts in the retail banking, electronic payments and IT industry.
IT²UG enabled payments and banking industry experts to share their technological experiences, develop new ideas, exchange views on current and future industry and economic trends and engage in lively debates. The most prominent themes that came out of the conference surrounded the successful use of the innovative platform TranzAxis from Compass Plus, remote banking and next-generation solutions, contactless payments and loyalty projects.
On the theme of loyalty Alexey Belogolov, Deputy Head of IT Department at Zapsibcombank, discussed the way the bank had utilized TranzWare Loyalty to launch a new and unique loyalty program – PLUSES - to the Russian market. Elena Bindusova, Head of Payment Systems Department at SMP Bank, and Svetlana Nikitina, Head of Technology Department at Bank SIAB, also shared their experiences of implementing loyalty programs with Compass Plus software.
The possibilities available in the Latin American region for the payments industry were presented by Ejup Biqkaj, Business Development Director at Quipu, who discussed the company’s experiences of implementing Compass Plus software in the region to carry out Host-to-Host implementations and EMV migrations. Another Latin American customer shared their experience of implementing new payments products based on Compass Plus’ innovative platform TranzAxis.
Topical themes, such as contactless and mobile payments, were also discussed by business and technology partners, such as MasterCard, Ingenico, Gemalto and Plastic Card Enterprise Ltd.
