Silicon Valley veteran tapped to expand company footprint in key verticals
Corvil, a provider of real-time operational performance analytics and monitoring solutions for IT, has appointed Van Diamandakis Chief Marketing Officer. Based in Dublin and reporting to CEO Donal Byrne, Diamandakis will help the company achieve its aggressive growth plan by taking its leading analytics and monitoring platform into other vertical markets with similar high-performance, latency-sensitive and data intensive IT operational environments as the financial services industry.
Diamandakis joins Corvil with a track record of positioning innovative technology firms for rapid growth. Most recently, he was SVP of Marketing at Joyent Cloud, where his efforts to drive the company’s market position in cloud infrastructure resulted in a 70% increase in annual revenue. As head of outbound marketing at ServiceSource International, Diamandakis executed the marketing plan to establish the business processing outsourcer (BPO) as a leader in cloud-powered recurring revenue management solutions, and developed a brand strategy and marketing engine that fuelled more than $30 million worth of deals and navigated the company through a successful IPO in March 2011.

Diamandakis will be tasked with shaping and leading the company’s global marketing efforts. He will spearhead the acceleration of the company’s business development activity in each one of its vertical industries including financial services, energy, e-commerce, gaming, entertainment, insurance, media and advertising.
