2ТBank updates its technological platform for card business in partnership with Compass Plus

Bank–T, which operates under the 2TBank brand, has announced that it has successfully completed the implementation of a new bank card processing platform built on solutions from Compass Plus. 

Designed around the concept of a ‘digital bank’, 2TBank provides its customers with a full range of banking services without having to visit a bank branch – with services mainly available via the Internet. The bank’s product portfolio includes innovative payment products, as well as savings and credit products to individual customers and businesses, whilst it pays particular attention to the convenience and functionality of its remote banking systems – Internet and mobile banking. This approach sets strict requirements for its retail banking automation system, in particular the functionality and flexibility of the software and related services.

2TBank chose Compass Plus as a technology partner as it could not only satisfy the needs of the bank as a software provider, but also as a provider of processing services. The new platform has two main components: the TranzWare CMS back office system is deployed on the bank’s side, whilst the front-office system is outsourced to the Compass Plus Processing Center.

“At the end of 2013 the bank faced a difficult task,” said Dmitry Agureev, Vice President at 2TBank. “On the one hand, fast actions were required to migrate our card program from the Master Bank processing center. At the same time, we had ambitious plans to develop the business based on innovative services which required a scrupulous selection of technology partners. During our discussions with Compass Plus, we appreciated the flexibility of the company regarding delivery options: the company was ready to provide turnkey software solutions and card processing services in various configurations. In addition, this approach was supported by clear integration tools. As a result, we chose a comprehensive card processing solution from Compass Plus, which combines intrabank and outsourcing resources. I believe that this configuration will enable us to achieve our objectives and provide significant room for growth."

In addition to the launch of the main card program with MasterCard, 2TBank almost immediately became a member of the United Settlement System (USS); the connection to which was also provided by the Compass Plus Processing Center. The partners are now in discussions for further collaborations and expect to continue their partnership in other areas of 2TBank’s e-business development.
