CII accredits CPD at Open GI and PowerPlace events in 2014

26 February 2014

Open GI and PowerPlace have received Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for their series of educational training workshops in 2014.

Open GI, receiving CII accreditation for the sixth consecutive year, have teamed up with PowerPlace to offer delegates a more enhanced training workshop – with those attending able to meet their professional development needs by claiming 5 hours’ worth of credits towards the CII member CPD scheme.

Brokers attending the free, one-day Product Workshops will be able to benefit from a host of topics designed to utilise their Open GI and PowerPlace platforms more efficiently. This year, the programme of five events across the UK and Northern Ireland will focus on Commercial Lines processing and online product distribution with eBroker for PowerPlace.

Tamsin Mills, Director of CII Accreditation Services, CII, said: “Open GI and PowerPlace’s Product Workshops complement the current CII training programme and are ideal for CPD accreditation through the provision of invaluable knowledge, as well as meeting the high quality training delivery standards required.

“The CII’s dedication to professional learning continues to expand in 2014, with more and more brokers seeing the benefit in membership, qualifications and Chartered status. The CPD accreditation will add even more value to Open GI’s and PowerPlace’s events, whilst also helping to publicise relevant knowledge across the industry.”

Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, commented: “Product Workshops provide excellent learning opportunities for brokers and we are thrilled that they are recognised by the CII as an important contribution to CPD. The joint venture with PowerPlace will only add value to the sessions throughout 2014.”
