New VSmart service deployed across IG Group’s global hubs delivering full regulatory compliance and business savings
IG Group, a global leader in online trading, has selected London-based provider of market leading mobile recording services, VoxSmart, to provide regulatory compliant mobile voice recording on a global basis.
Under the terms of the agreement, IG’s employees will use VoxSmart’s new VSmart™ application to manage their mobile communications ensuring all calls and messages to and from their handsets are recorded, stored and available for easy retrieval and analysis.
Announcing the partnership, VoxSmart CEO Oliver Blower said: “I believe IG Group’s selection decision is testament to the revolutionary design and innovation inherent in VSmart. We set out to create a service that not only meets the regulatory guidelines but provides our clients with business insight, costs savings and complete compliance – across any handset, on any mobile network, anywhere in the world.”

The VSmart service runs as a device based application on the handset and works in conjunction with VoxSmart’s cloud-based call servers to record all communications activity on the handset – voice calls, text messages, social media chats, and email.
The cloud-based element of VoxSmart services and the VSmart App means that organisations and their users do not have to change mobile network, invest in new SIM cards, handsets or network infrastructure. Furthermore, local “Point-of-Presence” connections means that VoxSmart can offer companies such as IG Group major reductions in the cost of its international mobile calls.
Globally, financial regulators are now beginning to harmonize on the requirement that all communications - irrespective of their method - be recorded and retained for minimum periods. For international organisations such as IG Group, these regulations demand a global partnership that fully meets the regulatory agenda and co-exists with the company’s existing global operating model to ensure efficiency and scale going forward.
