Capita Asset Services today announces the appointment of Paul Beckett to lead the continuing development of its range of services for retail banking. Paul joins Capita from FIS, the world’s largest provider of banking and payment technology.
Commenting on Paul’s arrival, Peter Walker, director at Capita Asset Services, said: “Retail banking continues to face real challenges – to its profitability, its relationships with its customers and the threat posed by new entrants to the market that carry none of the legacy of traditional banking. So it’s an industry that Capita is working increasingly closely with, to help drive efficiency, manage large scale remediation programmes and use customer analytics and insight in to help transform customer experience.
“Paul’s wide ranging and results focused career in the industry will add real breadth and depth to the experience we can offer our retail banking clients, both existing and new.”
During his 25 year career in the retail banking support industry, Paul helped to design a utility banking model designed to reduce overall cost and improve return on investment in the banking sector. Before FIS, which he joined in 2009, he spent 13 years with Unisys and also worked for Norwegian IT firm Tieto, Sopra Group and Fincentric.
Paul believes that the combination of the Capita brand and its expertise in the banking sector both from a BPO and ITO offering is a very strong base for continued growth of Capita in the financial services sector.
