VocaLink, the UK and international payment systems provider, has achieved the highest position of any financial services company in the latest Business in the Community CR Index. The acknowledgement means the UK based business has outperformed larger industry peers, including banks and insurance companies.
As financial services sector leader in the Index, VocaLink has successfully integrated responsible business practice into mainstream business operations. The company was awarded a score of 93% and a star rating of 3.5 (out of a possible five stars).
VocaLink strives to achieve industry best practice in everything it does and to set the standard as a responsible business. In 2013 the company was proud to be awarded Gold status for both Investors in People (IiP) and Business in the Community (BITC) for going above and beyond in the way it responsibly drives and embeds best practice throughout the organisation. The company continues to evolve sustainability and responsibility into its culture, embedding best practice into the company’s DNA.
Debbie Lombard, Chief HR Officer at VocaLink commented: “Achieving such a high position in the Index reflects all the hard work undertaken by the entire VocaLink team. It also demonstrates that we are responsible not just to our employees and future employees but also to our customers and prospective customers. We are especially proud of this achievement given that we have been acknowledged as the leading financial services company in the Index.”
