SuisseID's digital signature and authentication play a key role in the services offered by SIX Terravis Ltd. With its own representative on the SuisseID association board, SIX Terravis is now able to actively work on behalf of its clients.
On 27 March 2014, the SuisseID association agreed to open up its membership base. Four new board members were elected, one of whom is a representative from SIX Terravis. Together with previous representatives from the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), SIX Terravis along with the four potential SuisseID providers (QuoVadis, the Swiss Post Office, Swisscom and the Federal Information Technology and Telecommunications Office (BIT)), now form the association's board.
In addition to having provided its clients with a Switzerland-wide information portal for land parcel data since 2012, SIX Terravis also offers electronic business transactions (eGVT) with land registers and commercial registers, lending institutions, notaries and other participants. The central component of eGVT is the SuisseID qualified digital signature.
The new generation SuisseID was introduced in autumn last year. The opening up of the association is another step towards making SuisseID more user-friendly and attractive in future and being able to optimally consider the issues affecting users.
