Waratek has formed a strategic alliance with Korea Data Telecommunication (KDT) enabling the Korean marketplace to improve the operation of its Java applications.
KDT will now gain the significant benefits associated with Waratek's patented Java Virtualisation platform as a result.
The service takes core Java code and provides applications with multi-tenancy and elasticity without changes in the code. This increases application density allowing for cost cutting benefits of 50 per cent or more on Java infrastructure, which has previously struggled to connect with cloud environments.
KDT has offered cloud-based cooperation and control services to internet data centres and internet service providers since 2004.
Ji Yeon Lee, KDT chief executive officer, said: "Our experience in cloud computing places us uniquely in understanding the benefits that our clients can achieve when running Java applications in cloud environments."
Waratek was recently voted the top global innovator by the SWIFT member community and senior innovation executives of global financial institutions.
