Financial Tracking Technologies, LLC, today announced that, as anticipated, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued two patents to the company.
The applications, filed over a decade ago, cover various aspects of real-time data processing for investment portfolios and include a variety of features and functions associated with Financial Tracking’s proprietary products and services.
Among other capabilities, the products permit:
1) comparing investor accounts to each other to determine if guidelines have been breached (e.g. front running and investment idea favoritism detection);
2) determining if proposed changes to a portfolio will cause a deviation from pre-determined guidelines (pre-trade clearance and pre-trade suitability checking), and
3) comparing characteristics of investor portfolios to each other to determine if there is a difference and that will trigger an exception to guidelines.
“We believe these patents, and our proprietary solutions, will be of significant interest to many companies in the industry,” said Tony Turner, Principal, of the company.
