Interactive Data Launches Market-Q Mobile

New York - 28 May 2013

New mobile tablet version offers real-time market data desktop on-the-go

Interactive Data Corporation, a leading provider of market data solutions for wealth management firms, today announced a mobile tablet version of the Market-QSM real-time streaming market data desktop, offering anywhere, anytime access for financial advisors.

The changing dynamics of the advisor-client relationship have made mobile access to real-time information a priority for financial advisors. And for wealth management firms, the implementation of mobile applications continues to increase in importance as a means of attracting talented advisors and retaining clients, by enabling them to service those clients more effectively.

With the launch of Market-Q Mobile, Interactive Data can provide all of the core functionality of the Market-Q desktop developed specifically for the iPad as a hybrid HTML5 app.

With Market-Q Mobile, advisors get access to up-to-the-minute information on financial markets, watch lists, charting, fundamentals and analytical tools for use on the road, at home or in client meetings and presentations. And advisors enjoy the intuitive user experience already familiar to millions of iPad users globally.

“As advisor mobility has increased in response to client demand, we are utilizing the latest technology to provide flexible access to Market-Q, and ensure they have all of the information they need, literally at their fingertips,” said Bill Chambers, vice president and general manager for Wealth Management solutions at Interactive Data. “Throughout its beta testing phase, Market-Q Mobile has been extremely well received by firms and we expect to have many thousands of advisors using the iPad version in the coming months.”

Market-Q Mobile is designed to synch seamlessly with the desktop, delivering a tablet-friendly default workspace view. It features robust entitlement control, ensuring a user is only logged into Market-Q on one device at any given time and only able to see what they would on the desktop version.

"This approach enables advisors to retrieve information, edit Watch Lists and other information, and have that information reflected instantly on the other platform in a common and usable manner,” said Chambers. “Desktop and Mobile platforms are also driven by a user's Market-Q account, ensuring the same data, news and other entitlements are respected while protecting the Wealth Management firm from the risk of dual exchange and other fee liability."
