Individual investor-friendly global management firm, DMS Advisors Inc., Investment Advisors for DMS Funds, has signed an agreement with NASDAQ OMX to launch first mutual fund in the US based on the OMX Baltic Index.
DMS Advisors, Inc. CEO/CIO Peter R. Kohli is pleased to announce it has collaborated with NASDAQ OMX to launch the first mutual fund based on the OMX Baltic Index.
“While researching emerging markets around the world, my team and I looked into Eastern Europe – especially those areas that were formerly part of the Soviet Union. We assessed that a new middle class was emerging there, as the people began embracing both democracy and capitalism. We became particularly interested in the Baltic area, as economic indicators were strong,” stated Kohli.
NASDAQ OMX Baltic exchanges are located in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius.
“We are excited about this development because investors are focusing on emerging and pioneering markets around the world, including those in the Baltic region,” notes Robert Hughes, Vice President, NASDAQ OMX Global Indexes. “We applaud DMS Advisors for being the first company to launch a mutual fund in the U.S. based on the OMX Baltic Index.”
In honor of the event, NASDAQ OMX has invited Peter to ring the bell at the Opening Ceremony in New York City on July 23.
Peter Kohli, ChFC, is a registered representative of Trustmont Financial Group, a registered broker dealer, and member of FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) with more than 15 years of experience in the securities business.
