Industry Veterans Tim Lind and Ludwig D’Angelo Take Top Honors; SmartStream Wins Service Provider of the Year
Financial Technologies Forum, LLC, (FTF) today announces the winners of the annual FTF News Technology Innovation Awards, 2013. Now in their third year, the awards recognize the important contributions of individuals, companies, and technologies that are making important contributions to the financial services post-trade operations space and shaping the future of back- and middle-office.
Topping the list of winners are Tim Lind, global head of middle office and entity for Thomson Reuters, chosen as the FinTech Innovator of the Year, and Ludwig D’Angelo, executive director, J.P. Morgan Worldwide Securities Services, selected as the Ops Business Person of the Year. SmartStream Technologies won two awards—Service Provider of the Year and Best Enterprise Reconciliation Solution vendor.
“FTF congratulates all of the winners and finalists of this year’s Technology Innovation Awards,” says Maureen Lowe, President and Founder of Financial Technologies Forum, LLC. “Every nominee has made a significant impact in financial services operations. While competition has been the fiercest it has ever been, with a record number of nominations and votes cast, there could only be one winner in each category.”
The FTF News Technology Innovation Award winners were selected via an online voting process where nominated entities were unable to vote for themselves. The nominating and voting processes were overseen by a panel comprising Maureen Lowe, founder, president and editor-in-chief of FTF News; Eugene Grygo, editor of FTF News; Virginie O'Shea, analyst with Aite Group covering post-trade technology and processes; and Evan Fire, principal, manager, operations and administration for Pzena Investment Management.
