New Performance Module in labs.DWH

Frankfurt am Main, Germany - 24 June 2013

Lupus alpha Business Solutions (labs) has complemented their modular Data Warehouse solution labs.DWH with a new module for performance calculation. Data analysis, mapping and calculation are the main functionalities of the Performance Module. In addition to the module's generic functionalities, it offers a specialised SimCorp Dimension interface for data import. In the following you will get an overview of the new module's most important functionalities.

Calculation engine for independent performance calculation

Independent from an accounting system, the integrated calculation engine enables calculation of performance ratios, based on the Net Asset Value (NAV). On the basis of fund performance and benchmark performance, the user can easily calculate the active performance of a fund.

Definition of individual benchmarks

The new module allows for manual definition of benchmarks, with user-defined emphasis and number of indices. The defined benchmarks form the basis for performance calculations that are flexible and individually adjusted to the user’s requirements.

Flexible calculation of risk ratios

Risk ratios, for example volatility, sharp ratios, tracking errors and information ratios, can be simply calculated based on their Net Asset Value.

Reporting layer with optimized viewing options

The new reporting layer provides numerous viewing options which give the user a simplified view on complex data models and investment structures.

Mapping of performance report data from SimCorp Dimension

labs.DWH allows users to import all performance report data from SimCorp Dimension into the data warehouse. This data forms the foundation for numerous reporting, mapping and illustration options in the new module.
