Sapient Global Markets’ Anandha Ponnampalam Claims Prestigious Microsoft Dynamics Change Ambassadors Award

Ponnampalam Selected for Leading the Development of Innovation Contest among Sapient Global Market’s Global Workforce

Sapient Global Markets is pleased to announce that Anandha Ponnampalam, Director of Programme Management, has received the Microsoft Dynamics Change Ambassadors ‘No Boundaries’ Award.

Managed by The Economist Intelligent Unit and sponsored by Microsoft Dynamics, the awards were designed to recognize individuals who, through their skills, efforts and vision, have successfully instituted change initiatives in their organization. Award categories include: Marketing, People and culture, Technology, Finance and No Boundaries.

Ponnampalam was selected as the award winner for the “No Boundaries” category, which recognizes the successful execution of a change initiative that helps a company successfully expand into a new market or raises the company’s awareness of the market environment in general.

Ponnampalam won the award for leading the development and implementation of Sapient Global Markets’ internal innovation program. The program was an open contest for all Sapient Global Markets employees, designed to solicit the best ideas from within the organization. The winning ideas would then receive investments from the company in order to bring those solutions to the market.

The innovation contest generated over 180 team submissions, three of which were selected by Sapient Global Markets as viable business opportunities. The company is now investing resources in these three winning ideas and plans to bring a client offering for each to the market in 2013. More than 20 percent of the company’s employees participated in team submissions, and 98 percent of the participants requested the program be held on an annual basis.
