Twinfield, the online accounting business of global information provider Wolters Kluwer, has been awarded a certification from BDO IT Auditors & Consultants for the fifth consecutive year; demonstrating its fulfilment of the strict BDO criteria in the following areas: security, integrity, accessibility, design and development.
Twinfield was audited over four consecutive quarters, with a consistently high performance in all areas - a condition for the receipt of the certificate. André Kwarkernaat, founder and CEO of Twinfield, is delighted with the certification. He comments, “I am yet again very pleased to have met the high standards of the BDO audit. Even though this is the fifth time we have achieved this, each time is confirmation that we are on the right path.
“Twinfield continues to challenge itself and seek continuous improvement; we also consider it a duty to our clients to ensure that our online book-keeping services are fundamentally secure. In this regard, the BDO audits are very important.”
There is no legislative or regulatory requirement for such audits. Indeed, Twinfield is one of the few providers of SaaS solutions to undertake tests of this standard. Jur de Vries, partner, BDO IT Auditors, comments: “It is to be noted that Twinfield continually challenges itself in this manner. Our certificate is quantifiable and qualitative proof that Twinfield’s solution is of the highest standard and one with which business owners and accountants alike can carry out secure and trusted book keeping.”
It’s vitally important to Twinfield that its clients’ data is not stored outside the EU. To this effect, the software provider considers security extremely seriously and advocates a transparent communication policy with clients.
