CII accredits CPD at Open GI events for sixth year running

8 February 2013

Open GI has received Continuing Professional Development (CPD) accreditation from the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) for the sixth consecutive year.

Delegates attending the Open GI Product Clinics can meet their professional development needs by claiming 4 hours and 15 minutes’ worth of credits towards the CII member CPD scheme.

Brokers attending the free Product Clinics will be able to benefit from a host of topics designed to utilise their Open GI systems more efficiently. This year, the programme of eight nationwide events will focus on the benefits of System Security and Commercial Lines’ eTrading using Open Trader.

Tamsin Mills, Director of CII Accreditation Services, CII, said: “Open GI’s Product Clinics continue to complement the current CII training programme and are ideal for CPD accreditation through the provision of invaluable knowledge, as well as meeting the high quality learning and competence skills required.

“The CII’s dedication to professional learning continues to expand in 2013, with more and more brokers seeing the benefit in membership, qualifications and Chartered status. The CPD accreditation will add even more value to Open GI’s events and also help to publicise relevant knowledge across the industry.”

Simon Hughes, Sales and Marketing Director, Open GI, commented: “Product Clinics provide excellent learning opportunities for brokers and we are thrilled that they are recognised by the CII as an important contribution to CPD.”
