Morpho opens data centre in Brazil

19 August 2013

Morpho, a supplier of high-tech solutions in the areas of security, mobility and payment, has now opened Latin America's first data centre for trusted service management (TSM) technology in Taubate, Sao Paulo.

The unit represents a segment of the €3.5 million ($4.7 million) to be invested in Brazil and will provide the infrastructure for all businesses that need secure and convenient electronic mobile payment solutions via near field communication.

Some of its biggest users include banks, telecom operators and public transportation companies.

The data center will enable these customers to streamline projects and releases with TSM technology and boost their implementation and operation.

This will allow the client's mobile phone to become an electronic wallet with various payment and access features. Security is key for the project and should the device become lost or stolen, the user can call one phone number for all data to be immediately transferred to another chip, preventing any misuse of the stored information.
