Gerard Bermingham, Senior Vice President of Business Strategy for Information Mosaic, the global leader in advanced post-trade automation solutions, will be presenting at the Financial Technologies Forum’s 6th Annual Corporate Actions Processing Conference in New York. The conference has become one of the most well attended events dedicated to corporate actions processing.
With a direct focus on the ways in which financial firms can optimize their capital budgets in addressing the issues inherent in corporate actions processing, this year’s event will include individual presentations and panels that will provide insight to changes in associated tax law and regulatory reporting requirements, updates on current industry initiatives, and a discussion of the data challenges in achieving automation.
Mr. Bermingham’s presentation, entitled, “Creating a Business Case for a Corporate Actions Automation Project,” examines the components of a business case, its application to a corporate actions project, and provides instruction on establishing a compelling argument for achieving internal approval. Mr. Bermingham will be joined by Kurt Dodds, Senior Vice President and Director of PNC Bank N.A.'s Asset Management Group Securities Processing Unit, who will offer his perspective based on an actual, recent business case process.
An industry veteran, Mr. Bermingham has been instrumental in creating the business requirements, enhancements and development of Information Mosaic’s award-winning corporate actions application, IMActions™. He is a regular contributor of articles and papers to financial industry publications, is often quoted in the financial press, and is a frequently requested speaker. Mr. Bermingham holds a primary honours degree in Economics from University College Dublin and a master’s degree in Project Management from The George Washington University, Washington DC.
