This is the 9th year IDC Financial Insights, in partnership with American Banker and Bank Technology News, SourceMedia's renowned publications for banking and financial services professionals evaluate the leading global technology and service providers to the financial services industry for the FinTech 100 rankings. This ranking of the top providers of technology to the financial services industry has become the most watched performance ranking for bank technology vendors worldwide.
For the purpose of this ranking, the financial technology companies were judged according to their global revenues. The research firm, along with American Banker, Bank Technology News and William Mills Agency, requested and validated financial information from several thousand technology companies globally. To be included, the estimated financial services technology providers had to prove that they derive more than one-third of their total global revenue from the financial services industry, that is from selling software, hardware and IT services to financial institutions.
