ISITC (The International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication), the industry trade group focused on standards in transaction processing and related communications, announced today at its 18th ISITC Annual Industry Forum and Vendor Show that Lee Cutrone, managing director of industry relations at Omgeo, has been recognized with the ISITC Standard of Excellence Award.
The Standard of Excellence Award recognizes individuals who have both made a significant contribution to the industry and rendered exceptional service to ISITC, which is supported through the voluntary services of industry professionals. Mr. Cutrone was selected as the recipient of this annual award due to his continued commitment and work for the organization throughout his career.
Mr. Cutrone has been active in ISITC for well over a decade. Over the years, he has made a number of significant contributions to important industry initiatives, such as the previously proposed move to T+1 settlement; the elimination of paper confirmation delivery and storage; and more recently, the fostering of same-day trade affirmation as an industry standard/mandate. The award is being given to Mr. Cutrone in recognition of his continued dedication not only to ISITC, but the industry as a whole.
“We are delighted to recognize Lee’s ongoing support to ISITC. His eagerness and commitment to driving market efficiency and delivering true value to market participants worldwide is something we very much value at ISITC,” comments Jan Ellis Snitzer, Chair of ISITC and Vice President at Loomis, Sayles & Co. “Lee is a true leader and exemplifies the kind of passion and dedication our industry needs to continue improving upon standards and best practices.”
Mr. Cutrone was chosen by a committee of select ISITC board members after reviewing several candidates, which was led by Gary Probert, immediate past chair. The award is given out each year at the ISITC Annual Forum and Vendor Show to individuals who continually support the organization and the industry as a whole.
