Wilshire Associates Incorporated, a diversified global financial services firm, today announced that John C. Hindman has been appointed president of the firm effective immediately reporting directly to the firm’s chairman and chief executive officer, Dennis A. Tito.
“Since joining the firm in 2008 as chief financial officer and through his subsequent promotion to chief operating officer, John has become an increasingly invaluable member of Wilshire’s executive team,” Tito stated. “His appointment as president of Wilshire is a natural progression based on his leadership, professionalism and overall contributions to the firm. Wilshire has benefited greatly from John’s nearly two decades of experience in financial services. In particular, his strategic thinking has greatly enhanced the focus and vision for the firm. I look forward to continuing to work closely with John during the coming years,” Tito added.
“Wilshire Associates is a dynamic and thriving firm. I am honored to serve as its president,” Hindman said. “For more than forty years, Wilshire has grown and prospered due to its employees’ unwavering dedication to provide best-in-class advice, products and services to their clients around the world. As we move forward, I intend to continue to foster that atmosphere and work strategically at all levels to build and grow the firm around our core businesses.”
Tito announced John’s appointment at Wilshire’s annual shareholder meeting after it was announced that Larry Davanzo, who was serving as Wilshire’s president, was stepping down and will leave the firm on March 30.
“During his time at Wilshire, Larry demonstrated a commitment to and enthusiasm for the firm that was admirable,” Tito said. “His knowledge and innovative thinking, as well as his ability to lead and encourage, is recognized and appreciated both within our firm and among investment professionals globally. We wish him well personally and professionally.”
“I have enjoyed my many years working with Dennis and the executive team at Wilshire in building a world class diversified financial services firm. I leave knowing that the firm is in good hands and has a bright future ahead,” Davanzo noted.
