Compass Plus, a global provider of retail banking software and electronic payments systems, recently held its International TranzWare/TranzAxis User Group meeting at the Furama Hotel Resort in Da Nang, Vietnam.

Compass Plus’ sixth User Group brought together more than 110 delegates from 60 organizations in 20 countries around the world. The user group has been running for more than seven years and enables representatives from banks and processing centers, analytical agencies, international payment networks and other payment technology providers to share their experiences using Compass Plus products in different configurations and environments, to develop new ideas and discuss current and future retail banking and electronic payments industry trends.

The 2012 event covered a broad range of key industry topics such as non-traditional distribution channels for banking services, contactless payments and the development of remote banking channels. In addition, attendees were updated on Compass Plus technology developments, with Compass Plus customers sharing their experiences and know-how of successful and profitable projects.

Presentations highlighting the practical side of using TranzAxis, Compass Plus’ recently launched open payment development platform, attracted particular attention. Natalya Plokhaya, head of the processing department with Yekaterinburg, Russia-based Neyva Bank, where the system was launched in April 2011, shared the bank’s experiences and future plans to use TranzAxis for a full-scale retail banking automation project. Sergey Belkin, CIO of the processing company MultiCarta, stated the advantages of using TranzAxis as a host for the management of banking self-service terminals.

“The speakers have extensive expertise and as expected have clearly outlined new products and new vision for Compass Plus future with regards to system improvements and new developments. Compass Plus and ourselves hope that we will have new products from the company and they will help us to satisfy our clients. It is very important for our company to regularly meet up face-to-face with Compass Plus in order to really enhance the relationship and address any issues we might have. We encourage our staff to attend these conferences,” said Tarek Yehia, deputy general manager and director of operations for MSCC, an Egyptian processing center.

Substantial attention was also paid to the presentations about new developments within Compass Plus’ flagship product range - TranzWare, its roadmap and real-life examples of the innovative banking services implemented by the customers.

“We are grateful to Compass Plus for arranging the whole event, it has been very interesting. We have had a chance to network with other industry professionals and get an idea of how TranzWare and the auxiliary modules are being utilized. We found it very interesting and have identified a number of ideas for us to bring back to our management committee. It has been very useful and I think the networking opportunities are really helpful for exchanging ideas and opinions,” said Sohail R. K. Hussain, chief business officer with Bangladesh-based City Bank.

Youri Koliakin, CEO of Compass Plus said of the event: “It is very important for Compass Plus to get together with our customers and partners to tell them about our achievements and plans, to get feedback and listen to their suggestions and ideas. We are very pleased to receive such high praise for our recent user group, which proves that this event and the environment that we create for constructive discussions, as well as the exchange of practical experiences is very important for our customers.”
