KPMG has poached James Siswick, from rivals Deloitte, to head up their financial services Forensic team which focuses on consultancy and investigations advice concerning financial crime. The unit covers anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions screening and the supranational Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA), emanating from the US, which is expected to be a major headache for financial firms seeking compliance.
Siswick will be based in London. He was previously a director in Deloitte’s Enterprise Risk Services division, and spent 14 years at the rival firm working in various roles in the UK and Switzerland.
Commenting on his appointment, David Hicks, head of KPMG’s financial service Forensic team, said: “Siswick brings a wealth of FS regulatory experience to our team having worked with many of Europe’s largest banks on advisory, tax and investigation projects in the last few years.”
