Leading Expert Mark Reeves Relocates To New York Headquarters
Capco, a global business and technology consultancy dedicated solely to the financial services industry, today announced that Mark Reeves, Global Capital Markets leader in London, has relocated to Capco’s New York headquarters to co-lead the North American Capital Markets group. He will share leadership with Joe Anastasio, co-leader of the Capital Markets practice and founding partner at Capco. Capco made this change in response to growing demand for consultation and solutions relating to shifting capital market dynamics in the United States.
With over 18 years of experience in strategy and solution implementation across the banking sector, Mr. Reeves will work with capital market clients in North America as they face growing challenges in the post-financial crisis marketplace. With a focus on enhancing efficiency through new initiatives and technology, Reeves offers assistance around process redesign, application architecture, strategic visioning and build and implementation.
“Changing capital markets have put increased pressure on investment banks, and our clients are looking for guidance on how to prepare for the new market realities,” said Reeves. “By being based in New York, I will be able to offer our clients immediate consultation and hands-on expertise in establishing long-term strategies, as well as collaborate with other Capco partners to develop best in class practices and implementation policies.”
“Mark brings an unparalleled understanding of the capital markets space and the strategic thinking and planning that our clients rely on,” said Ismail Amla, North American Regional Business Leader. “Every aspect of an organization’s strategy and technology need to be re-examined in order for them to be successful amongst increased competition and strengthened regulation. With Mark and Joe leading the capital markets practice, our clients will continue to excel.”
Reeves is actively involved in Capco’s thought leadership, having recently authored white papers on topics such as Basel III, proprietary trading and technology in response to regulatory change. His most recent whitepaper, on the alignment of IT infrastructure with the needs of the business, can be found here.
Prior to Capco, he worked for National Westminster Group, Deloitte Consulting, TCA Consulting and City Practitioners. Reeves, 47, has a Masters in Economic Geography and Statistics from St. Andrews University.
