Also a 2012 leader in Global and Pan-European Network Service Providers Magic Quadrants, based on Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute
BT today announced that it is positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Leaders Quadrant in the Asia Pacific Network Service Providers Magic Quadrant report published on 28 November 2012. Earlier this year BT had already been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in the Global Network Service Providers and Pan-European Network Service Providers Magic Quadrant reports. According to Gartner, Leaders demonstrate strong vision, especially in terms of defining future market needs. They back their vision by investing ahead of competitors in new or unproven areas, and are generally better positioned for the future. However, significant differences exist between the Leaders in terms of strategy and execution.
Luis Alvarez, CEO of BT Global Services, said: “We believe this report confirms BT as a leader in Asia-Pacific for its vision and ability to deliver network services. It reflects the success of our investments in this growing region and we believe it affirms the enhancements and innovation we keep bringing to our broad and holistic portfolio of managed and network-related IT services, including unified communications, contact centres, WAN optimization and acceleration, security, and cloud-based services. We are the best option in the market to support customers in Asia-Pacific and around the world, with a strong focus on global industry sectors such as financial services, consumer packaged goods, logistics, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, government or health”.
