FLEXTERA successfully tested on Oracle Exadata

3 December 2012

Diasoft, a global provider of cutting-edge financial software solutions and the Gold Partner of Oracle, announced that it has successfully completed the testing of its component-based FLEXTERA Platform on Oracle Exadata Database Machine.

The testing was performed in Oracle Solution Center, Scotland, and engaged both the specialists of Diasoft’s Competence Center and the Oracle team. The main aim of the benchmarking was to check the compatibility and measure the performance of FLEXTERA banking solutions run on Oracle Exadata. The benchmark simulated user activity and background processes of a large financial institution, with the overall workload corresponding to 10,000 and 30,000 concurrent users.

The successful results of the benchmarking have considerably surpassed the target measures. The system utilization made only 5% while processing the workload corresponding to the activity of 10,000 concurrent users, and reached 15% with 30,000 users. The results of the testing allowed Diasoft to recommend Oracle Exadata Database Machine among the platforms for running FLEXTERA products.

“The benchmark has once again proven high performance of FLEXTERA Platform and allowed us to recommend Oracle Exadata to the financial institutions that need to take efficient decisions in the real time mode and reduce their IT expenses. This becomes possible due to the data consolidation, significant rise of the volumes of processed data, and increased performance of all applications. Choosing smart hardware and software complexes, a financial institution ensures reliable support of business critical applications and the highest level of performance. We would like to thank Oracle’s team and Diasoft’s Competence Center for participating in this project. It was a good experience which will be useful to our company and customers”, commented the results of the benchmarking Nikolay Ippolitov, Head of Partner Solutions Department at Diasoft.

Oracle Exadata Database Machine is a package of servers, storage, networking, and software that is massively scalable, secure, and redundant. The Oracle Exadata Database Machine is a special solution that provides extreme performance for both data warehousing (DW) and online transaction processing (OLTP) workloads, making it the ideal platform for consolidating onto private clouds.
