London - 18 December 2012

Today Alfresco announced that Oxford University Press (OUP) has selected the company to provide the content hub for a new global digital asset management solution.

OUP, which is a department of the University of Oxford, will use Alfresco Enterprise on-premise across multiple locations, allowing content and production teams to manage thousands of digital assets throughout the organization.

“OUP’s use of Alfresco is another example of our dedication to delivering management features that are easy-to-use that seamlessly integrate into existing tools and will enable OUP to meet its strategic goals without being locked into a single vendor," said John Powell, CEO of Alfresco.

“Alfresco offers a rich set of features on an open source platform that allows for customization, which will contribute to the success of the program," explained Kate Granville, Technology Director, Oxford Education, at Oxford University Press.

The Alfresco Enterprise platform has been proven to perform in environments with over millions of documents and tens of thousands of enterprise users. Hundreds of partners and customers have built content-rich, business-centric customer applications on top of Alfresco and integrated with existing enterprise systems.
