Indus Valley Partners (IVP), a leading provider of technology solutions to alternative asset managers, announced today the introduction of the IVP Form PF Application, a workflow driven filing application and management dashboard that automates the entire SEC Filing process.
The IVP Form PF Application provides seamless integration of P&L data, risk data and reference data to comply with the SEC’s mandate that hedge funds and private equity funds report detailed information on their portfolios, counterparties and investors. Starting in June, hedge funds with more than $5 billion under management will need to begin filing Form PF, and most other hedge funds will need to comply starting at the end of the year.
Available as a standalone application or as a module within the IVP Polaris Data Warehouse, the IVP Form PF Application provides a cohesive and simplified filing form that shows filing period, fund AUM, filing type, underlying sections and users in workflow.
“The Form PF filing process requires careful gathering, scrubbing, analyzing of data from various internal/external data sources before being converted into the prescribed SEC format for reporting. The IVP Form PF Application alleviates this burden by providing hedge fund managers with a solution that memorializes the context of the filing via electronic collaboration features such as workflows, approvals and the ability to replay the context of any historic filing including all supporting documentation/data via drill downs from the filing itself. We plan to further reduce the regulatory burden on funds by adding 13F/D/G filings in the next release. This will provide funds with one central platform for all of their regulatory needs,” said Gurvinder Singh, CEO Indus Valley Partners.
Already implemented with several of the world’s largest hedge funds, IVP Form PF Application features include:
- Summary views with the ability to drill down into relevant sections and sub-sections
- Filing status on current section and sub-sections
- Facilitates section-based data pulls from a data warehouse
- Detailed glossary to help users understand SEC requirements
- Alerts utility to facilitate data integrity at multiple levels
- Management and section specific reporting dashboards
- Ability to edit and enter data as needed
- Save, verify and approve data
