Syntel Enterprise Virtualization Project Wins CIO100 Award

Syntel, Inc. (Nasdaq:SYNT), a global Information Technology services and Knowledge Process Outsourcing (KPO) firm, today announced that it has been awarded the CIO100 Award by IDG India's CIO magazine at the 6th Annual CIO100 Awards in Pune, India.

The annual award program recognizes organizations that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT). This year's award theme was "The Creative 100," which recognized IT leaders for their creative use of enterprise technologies to meet their organizations' business challenges.

Syntel was honored with the CIO100 award for an innovative deployment of a virtualization architecture encompassing data center virtualization and desktop virtualization. Combining an optimal mix of legacy storage with an innovative multi-tier configuration and an Agile delivery model, the project also received the "Efficient Enterprise" award.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Syntel's Chief Information Officer Muralidharan Ramachandran said, "It's a great honor to receive this prestigious award.
