It is the first year BI-SAM has been awarded the best risk management initiative, a category which seeks to acknowledge enhancements to a risk management platform to address current risk management challenges. BI-SAM, in partnership with its client Covéa Finance, has been implementing a new risk methodology into its B-One platform which increases the transparency between asset managers and investors through the reconciliation of Ex-Ante and Ex-Post measurements. This methodology is currently used by Covéa Finance and is being actively deployed globally.
The best buy-side performance measurement and attribution product has been awarded to BI-SAMâs B-One solution, based on functionality (calculation of returns, attribution for equity, balanced and fixed-income portfolios and ex-post, absolute and relative risk, workflow capabilities), the technology developed into the platform, its established and still growing international client base as well as its positive client references.
Bénédicte Godet, Marketing Manager at BI-SAM who received these awards, commented âWinning the best performance measurement product award for the fourth time in a row is a great acknowledgement of BI-SAMâs capacity to deliver a service-oriented open technological platform based on the latest technologies providing superior performance reporting and analytics functionality. We are also extremely honoured and pleased to receive this year the best risk initiative as we strongly believe that this new risk attribution methodology is already and will be of great value for investors. These awards are a great achievement for us and we will continue to enhance our product and services in line with the trust we built with our clients and market.â
Victor Anderson, Editor-in-Chief of the Buy Side Technology magazine, agreed with Bénédicte in saying that âBI-SAMâs B-One offering has become a regular at the Buy-Side Technology Awards, and, over the years, we have seen it broaden its functionality and client base significantly. This year, the integration of the SRRI calculation for UCITS IV KIID requirements, the enhancement of the workflow, and the new risk attribution methodology, accounted for two separate awards, illustrating BI-SAM's leadership in performance measurement, and increasingly, risk management. Working closely and in partnership with their clients, BI-SAM group has shown the ability to understand asset managersâ needs and address them through a combination of top-end technology and outstanding service. BI-SAM deserves these awards because of its B-One platform, its attention to clientsâ satisfaction, and the firm's global expansion, notably in North America.â
