FINCAD Addresses Emerging Market Bonds, New Standards in IR Swap Markets, with Release of FINCAD Analytics Suite 2012

Dublin and Vancouver, BC - 2 November 2011

FINCAD, the market leader for innovative fixed income and derivatives solutions in the financial industry, today announced the newest release of its industry-leading cross asset class derivatives analytics library, FINCAD Analytics Suite 2012. This release delivers extended fixed income coverage including new functionality in pricing emerging market bonds and enhanced support for multiple LIBOR (EURIBOR, etc) forward curves.

Emerging market bonds have gained popularity after producing consistently strong total returns over the past several years. Rapid economic growth and lower debt levels than those in developed countries have attracted many investors, though the breadth of investment options available can increase the time required to perform valuations.

“FINCAD Analytics Suite is our flagship product which we remain committed to enhancing in order to meet the changing needs of our worldwide client base,” said Bob Park, President & CEO, FINCAD. “With this release, we are extending our industry leading fixed income coverage into emerging market bonds and are addressing market changes arising from the financial crisis.”

Following the credit crisis, brokers now quote LIBOR swap rates on the assumption that expected future cash flows are discounted using curves that reflect the true cost of funding (ie, overnight rates for collateralized trades). During the crisis it became apparent that LIBOR rates did not reflect this true cost of funding. In response, FINCAD has enhanced its curve building functionality making it easy for users to adhere to these new market standards.

FINCAD Analytics Suite is a leading software solution that values and measures risk of financial securities and derivatives. As the industry standard, FINCAD Analytics Suite provides finance professionals with the ability to verify and validate every aspect of a valuation across multiple asset classes. The software is available as a Microsoft® Excel-based solution for end users and as a software development kit for embedding FINCAD's analytics into financial software.
