Victoria is a very experienced financial journalist. Over the past ten years, she has covered markets from over-the-counter pharmaceutical to aviation, but most recently she has been reporting on operational risk. As editor for Operational Risk & Regulation magazine, Victoria engaged effectively with the operational risk community and reported extensively on the continuing evolution of the discipline of operational risk management. She chaired the OpRisk North America, Op Risk Europe and OpRisk Asia conferences, as well as hosted many webinars on topics ranging from Enterprise Risk Management to Financial Crime. Victoria has deep subject knowledge on the core operational risk elements as well as financial crime, fraud, corporate governance, global financial regulation and compliance issues, among others.
âPost financial crisis,â says Mike Finlay, Chief Executive at RiskBusiness, âfirms have recognised that they need current, relevant comparable risk information and this is an area where RiskBusiness is focussing considerable effort. Victoriaâs skillset will be a major boost to our capabilities in this area, allowing us to provide more, enriched data and information to our clientsâ.
RiskBusiness started providing data comparison services to clients in the area of KRI Benchmarking in 2006, supplemented by loss data consortium services in 2007 and scenario benchmarking in 2009.
Victoria Tozer-Pennington added: âOperational risk management is continuing to evolve at a rapid pace and now, more than ever, financial services firms need to have access to up-to-date information and analysis of best practices in operational risk management and measurement. I am very excited to be joining the RiskBusiness team, the leading international operational risk consultancy, at this pivotal point in the development of the discipline.â
