Specialist energy software developer Contigo has boosted its product range with the introduction of enPrice.

The latest addition to Birmingham-based Contigo’s hugely successful enTrader suite, enPrice has been designed and developed to simplify and streamline the provision of accurate, reliable and auditable customer electricity, gas and dual fuel price quotations for energy retailers.

Through its simple and easy-to-use interface, enPrice allows brokers, agents and customers with relatively little experience in energy pricing to quickly and simply obtain quotations. This unique approach allows analysts, who have traditionally held a dual back and front office role, to focus on the highly skilled cost analysis and monitoring elements.

Like the rest of the enTrader Suite, enPrice is extremely user friendly enabling the end user to have complete control over when and by whom the prices are generated. This increases the probability of a sale whilst at the same time reducing the suppliers’ cost to serve.
Integrity, control and monitoring of pricing is also in-built into the pricing engine, removing the need for individual quote approvals and further increasing the flexibility of the system.

Simon Piercy, Director, Contigo, said: “Providing accurate price quotations for retailers can be a complex and time-intensive process, with a significant number of individual charges that can affect the end price. The beauty of enPrice comes from its simple, flexible and intuitive user interface, which follows the same design principles as our enTrader suite, currently being utilised across a variety of the UK’s largest Energy Trading and Utility companies.

“Our workflow process ensures that prices can be confidently generated by front-of-house staff because the system is controlled by analysts, who have the requisite understanding of the costs and risks involved in energy trading. This real-time authorisation process ensures that customers will not be presented with a quotation that is considered to be unprofitable.”

The enPrice product has been developed in partnership with energy pricing experts Worcestershire Energy Services (WES), whose unique, industry proven and powerful pricing engine powers the software.

Keith Munday, Director, WES, said: “Developing energy prices for the UK market is a complicated process, which has to take into consideration a large number of variables. By ensuring that precise costs can be applied at any stage in the process we have created an accurate and completely user-configurable end pricing system.

“The software has been designed to be flexible in an ever changing market and can be easily customised and adapted to accommodate new charges, risks or products. In terms of the solutions that are currently available on the market, enPrice represents something entirely unique. I am positive that this product will provide a considerable boost to Contigo’s existing range of utilities software.”
