Sovereign Business Integration Launches Data Centreplus

London - 30 August 2011

Sovereign expands business-focused data centre providing colocation, hosting, managed IT and outsourced IT services.

Sovereign Business Integration, a leading provider of IT services, today announces the launch of Data CentrePLUS; an expansion of its existing data centre services. The business-focused data centre will allow Sovereign to further its delivery of colocation, hosting, managed IT and outsourced IT services, providing clients with security, reliability and flexibility. Based in Cockfosters just 14 miles north of central London and inside the M25, the brand new data centre – ‘Metro Point’ – will enable Sovereign to provide scalable and tailored services, allowing enterprises to operate business-critical technology within a controlled environment.

With more and more companies moving business critical applications into data centres every day, Richard Barker, CEO, explains why Sovereign’s expansion of its data centre services has come at this point in time: “Sovereign has been offering data centre services for over 15 years and as such, brings a wealth of experience to the industry. As the demand for hosted and outsourced IT continues to grow, Sovereign felt that now was the time to launch our brand new facility to all of our clients, as it will allow us to operate on a much wider scale. Our experience, proactive attitude and proven abilities combined with our knowledge of the overall IT industry as well as associated vertical sectors will provide our existing customers as well as our prospective customers with a smooth transition from on-premise IT to outsourced IT.”

With a fierce commitment to the development of its standards and quality of service, Sovereign is currently in the process of applying for ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 accreditation, as well as the highly coveted Tier III Data Centre status. Ideally located within a synchronous distance of London, the Data CentrePLUS service at ‘Metro Point’ once certified, will be the only Tier III accredited Data Centre within the M25.

As part of its extended service offering, Sovereign can provide each client with a dedicated transition team, as Joanna Sedley-Burke, Business Development Director at Sovereign explains, “We are aware of the implications and concerns many companies face when contemplating a move to outsourced IT. In light of this, we will be offering our clients teams of technical and multi-disciplined staff available on hand to offer Level 1, 2 and 3 support 24/7/365. We do believe however, that no two clients are the same, and as such our services are flexible to the business requirements of each organisation, with clients being able to take on as little or as much support from us as required.”

Clients that need a seamless transition from an on-premise IT system to outsourced IT can leave the move to Sovereign, allowing them to continue to focus on core business competencies. With Sovereign’s focal point centred on flexibility, services can be tailored to meet the client’s precise specifications and/or as business growth demands. Alternatively, services are available to purchase on an off-the-shelf basis. From design and procurement through to operation and ongoing support, Data CentrePLUS manages as much of the process as required.

Barker concludes, “The launch of Data CentrePLUS at ‘Metro Point’ offers a great deal of promise for Sovereign and our clients during this exciting time for our business and the industry in general. With ever more stringent IT budgets consistently driving the demand for outsourced IT services, Sovereign has expanded its position to respond to our client base in offering the most widespread and relevant services.”
