FINCAD Recognized as a Great Place to Work®

Vancouver, Canada - 13 April 2011

FinancialCAD Corporation (FINCAD) is being recognized as one of this year’s Best Workplaces in Canada. This list, and related stories, appeared in a special national report on Tuesday April 12th, 2011 in The Globe and Mail.

FINCAD’s senior managers have been deeply committed to making the company a great workplace for its employees. Emphasis has been placed on creating a positive atmosphere and hiring staff who share the firm’s core values - teamwork, honesty and integrity, delivering results, and putting customers first. In addition, the company offers its employees a generous benefits package that includes 4-weeks of vacation in the first year, RRSP matching and a salary top up during maternity leave.

“For me, ensuring employee satisfaction is one of my biggest priorities,” said Bob Park, President & CEO. “Providing a great place to work where employees can learn and grow are critical factors in the success of our company. One of the key elements in building a world-class organization is nurturing and encouraging excellence in our employees, and providing an environment where success is actively supported. We have an open floor plan which facilitates communication among employees and really helps create an incredible team atmosphere in which people can excel. This culture of excellence and respect has a definite positive impact both on the products and services we provide, and ultimately on the customer service we are so proud of.”

This list of “Best Workplaces in Canada” is compiled by Great Place to Work® Institute Canada. The competition process is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from a 58-statement survey completed by a random selection of employees, along with their open-ended comments about their organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from an in-depth review of the organization’s culture, including an evaluation of HR policies and procedures. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. Together, they provide crucial data relative to the five trust-building dimensions of a great place to work®: credibility, respect, fairness, pride, and camaraderie.

This year’s list received over 230 nominations and approximately 44,000 employees participated in the 2011 “Best Workplaces in Canada” survey.
