Deutsche Bank hires Goldman Sachs executive for research team

Marcelo Pizzimbono is to join Deutsche Bank as managing director and head of sales within its New York-based research division.

According to the financial services provider, the new post holder will be working within the Markets unit at the bank after spending ten years employed by Goldman Sachs.

The appointment of Mr Pizzimbono, who will report to Brett Burns, head of US Cash Equity Sales, follows a number of other hires within the research division.

Mr Burns said: “We are excited to have Marcelo join our team to further strengthen our US equities business. His deep client driven focus will be an asset as he leads our New York Research Sales team."

Previously, the new Deutsche Bank was employed as a managing director of US equity sales for Goldman Sachs while before this he worked with Latin American equities for JPMorgan.

The research hires include Myles Walton within the Aerospace and Defense unit, Frederick Searby, who now works with Latin America Equities and Michael Linenberg, employed in the Airlines unit.
