Protiviti has seen a significant increase in demand from organisations - particularly financial institutions in the securitisation conduit market - requesting comprehensive due diligence advice & collateral monitoring services, both pre-loan and on existing transactions, and for assistance in addressing key risks and concerns.
The UK due diligence practice will be lead by Bill Byrnes who has relocated from Protiviti in the US, where he previously served clients in the US and Europe in a similar capacity. The practice will be charged with helping clients to better understand the assets they hold as collateral, the businesses they lend to, and the risks faced in the transactions they consider and execute.
Bill has considerable knowledge in credit risk and has been with Protiviti for nearly seven years. He joins the London office from the companyâs risk and compliance solution in Chicago where he gained vast experience planning, leading and completing a range of credit risk services, including lender due diligence engagements in the US and in Europe.
Andrew Clinton, Head of Protiviti UK said âWe are determined to stay at the forefront of the industry by providing new services for our clients to complement our existing risk & compliance, internal audit and IT service offerings. Bill is a valuable member of the team at Protiviti and, having worked successfully to build the credit risk practice in the US, we are delighted to have his expertise and knowledge in London.â
Bill Byrnes comments âI am delighted to be leading this practice in the UK and look forward to providing our clients with the same quality of service and value that we deliver in the US. Due diligence is an extremely important tool for our clients and we believe that with the right risk analysis and timely, relevant assessment, organisations can substantially enhance their credit risk management.â
