Travelex Wins Best FX Product Award – Beating The Banks At Their Own Game

20 October 2010

Travelex, the foreign exchange (FX) and business payments specialist, has won the Best FX Product Award at the Australian Banking & Finance’s (AB&F) Corporate and Business Banking Awards for 2010, beating ANZ and other FX providers to the top title.

AB&F awarded Travelex with the Best FX Product award at its annual awards night at the Four Seasons Hotel in Sydney last week. The Awards honour excellence in product and service customer satisfaction across 17 categories, including Foreign Exchange.

“These awards are based on customer satisfaction ratings provided by business customers from East & Partners’ research programs. Consequently, the awards represent the true voice of the customer and Travelex should be extremely pleased with achieving this recognition,” Robert Morgan, East & Partners’ Head of Market Analysis commented.

The awards reflect customer satisfaction ratings provided by more than 30,000 business customers.

Travelex Regional Divisional Director, Asia Pacific, Kerry Agiasotis, said the award was a stark reminder that businesses no longer needed to rely on the ‘Big Four’ banks to meet their international payments and FX needs.

“Travelex finished ahead of ANZ to win this award sending a clear message that FX and international payments is no longer solely the domain of the Big Four banks. The award recognises what we have known for a long time – that businesses of all sizes can free
themselves of the banks and have confidence to utilise specialist providers like Travelex for their FX and international payments needs.
“The award is a testament to both the pride we take in delivering high quality customer service and the dedication of all of the teams across the business in exceeding customers’ expectations.

“Travelex is honoured to win this prestigious award and will continue to work to develop new products, partnerships and initiatives that make FX and international payments as efficient and streamlined as possible for businesses,” Mr Agiasotis said.
