Sinara add iPhone, Android support to the Sinara Market Data Platform

London - 1 November 2010

UK software house Sinara Consultants has announced an upgrade to the Sinara Market Data Platform (SinaraMDP), to enable users of iPhones and Android phones to receive real-time market data and news.

SinaraMDP is a comprehensive collection, management and distribution platform for low-latency real-time streaming data. It is used by trading exchanges and data consumers for ticker plants, feeding trading systems and large-scale streaming distribution.

The APIs on SinaraMDP allow customers to build innovative desktop and mobile applications that can access both real-time and historic time-series data. A major client has already deployed this solution to feed financial data applications for Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Symbian.

Sinara has now developed a new API library that integrates SinaraMDP with applications built to run on Android phones and iPhone (including iPhone 4). The APIs support streaming data and historical data for charting.

Gary Hughes, Sales & Marketing Director at Sinara, comments: “By extending our mobile APIs, we enable our customers to target Smartphone users who want a fast and reliable way of accessing financial market data on the move. Since releasing the Android and iPhone versions, one of our clients has seen a significant increase in their global subscriber base.”
