Leading payment systems, information security and IT services specialist Barron McCann can now offer small or medium sized organizations simple, low-cost access to the SWIFT network, following the announcement that it has become a reseller for SWIFT’s ‘Alliance Lite’ SWIFTNet connectivity product.
SWIFT’s ‘Alliance Lite’ product allows organisations to access the SWIFT data network without the need to install any SWIFT-specific software at their premises. All that is required is a standard internet connection and a SWIFT-issued USB hardware security token. Alliance Lite allows users to send and manage most SWIFT messages for payments or securities via a browser-based interface and with the same level of security as all other SWIFT transactions.
According to Barron McCann, Alliance Lite offers a simple access infrastructure that can be used as a secure way to send or receive signed messages and payment files. Alliance Lite will not only help smaller organisations to streamline their multi-bank connectivity in a secure and cost-effective way; it will also enable banks to satisfy their corporate customers’ demand for fast file exchange while avoiding the need to make major changes to their existing payment network infrastructure.
