Excelian Announces New Senior Structure as Expansion Continues Apace

11 June 2010

London based specialist financial IT consultancy Excelian has announced a new top tier structure. The changes follow an outstanding pattern of growth which has seen the company grow by more than 1,200% in the last 5 years alone. Annual turnover now exceeds £20 million and the company has more than 200 staff operating across Europe, South Africa and the Asia Pacific region.

The new senior management changes include:

• Adrian Marshall, the company’s Founder and current Managing Director and senior Director Jeremy Ward both become joint Chief Executive Officers. As Enterprise CEO, Adrian will focus on new business strategy, while Jeremy’s Innovation CEO portfolio will focus on product development and project delivery.

• Robert Grant, Company Secretary and Operations Director becomes Chief Operating Officer

• Dr Adam Vile, Head of Technical Consulting and Phil Roberts, Head of the Murex practice both become full Partners

• Mark Jolley, formerly Head of Technology - Integration, Wholesale Markets and Treasury & Trading for Lloyds Banking Group, joins the company as Partner with particular responsibility for managed services.

• Zoe Taylor, organisational development specialist and formerly Vice President, Wall Street Analytics, joins the company as Operations Director.

Commenting on the moves, Adrian Marshall said

“Our new joint CEO role is a symptom of two things: our maturity as a company and the strength of our collaborative culture. Our whole company has a very open management style. This has stood us in good stead, particularly through the recent turbulent times, when the business has continued to grow rapidly, diversifying into new countries, technologies and sectors. These changes embody that collaborative style and at the same time add real strength on which to base future growth.”

Jeremy Ward added “We are delighted to welcome Mark to our senior management team. He has detailed knowledge of trading and risk management technology, combined with experience of building robust delivery methods for applications such as Murex and Summit. This combination will enable us to further improve the structure, process and governance models we use: a key part of our plans to reduce the overall cost of application support and testing for our clients.”

Adrian Marshall continued “The promotion of Adam and Phil to full Partners, after unprecedented growth in their sectors, underlines the company’s plans and ambitions for growth. Meanwhile Zoe’s appointment adds critical strength across our people, systems and operations management, underpinning our growth and allowing us to accelerate our future ambitions. We also fully expect our senior management team to continue to increase and diversify over the coming year. It’s a great start to the next chapter in the Excelian story.”
