Akshay Presents “An Update on SWIFT” to US Branches and Agencies of Non-US Banks

Princeton, NJ - 27 July 2010

Akshay Software International, Inc., a SWIFT Regional Partner, SWIFTReady Services Provider, and SWIFT Service Bureau hosted, “An Update on SWIFT,” a presentation to an audience of executives from US branches and agencies of some of the largest Latin American, European, and Asian banks, all of whom are active SWIFT users.

The event was held at SWIFT’s US headquarters in New York City, and was designed to facilitate communication between SWIFT and its users via the SWIFT Regional Partner channel. As a SWIFT Regional Partner for 2010, Akshay created the event to deliver information about a number of subjects of importance to this particular community of SWIFT users. The topics on the program ranged from impending technical changes to SWIFT connectivity components and software, to leveraging SWIFT solutions to generate new business opportunities. Another featured topic was an introduction of Alliance Integrator, SWIFT’s enterprise application integration (EAI) platform which assists in the exchange of SWIFT traffic between business applications and supports SWIFTNet message formats such as MT, MX, FpML, and AnyXML, and FIN, FINCopy, FileAct, and InterAct-based messaging services. The flexibility introduced by implementing Alliance Integrator can be leveraged to both enhance straight-through processing, and create new revenue streams.

Serving as master of ceremonies of the event was Mr. B.V. Venkat, Senior Vice President of Akshay. Featured speakers from SWIFT included Mr. Filip Versluys, Manager of Technical Sales Services, and Ms. Stacy Rosenthal, Senior Manager, who leads SWIFT’s Banking Initiatives in the Americas. Akshay collaborated with SWIF T management to produce the event. Prior to the program guests enjoyed a continental breakfast and a luncheon followed the presentations.

David Pryce, Director of SWIFT, complimented Akshay on the event. “SWIFT is pleased to see SWIFT Regional Partners such as Akshay helping to improve and enhance SWIFT’s users’ capabilities, benefits and experience, and SWIFT appreciates Akshay’s initiative in convening this forum.”

Added Mr. C.V. Anant, President of Akshay, “The event was very well received. Many attendees complimented us on the quality of the speakers, as well as the relevance and timeliness of the content. We look forward to expanding the series by holding other similar events here in New York, on the west coast, and in the Miami/Caribbean region.”
