Fujitsu plans to support the SAP software on a combined infrastructure made up of Fujitsu PRIMERGY BX620 S5 blade servers and EMC Celerra NS storage systems, designed to be rapidly deployed â with all elements optimised to work together.
âAs SAP brings instant business intelligence tools into the mainstream with SAP BusinessObjects Explorer, so enterprises will place a greater focus on the solutionâs implementation and availability,â says Dieter Herzog, Executive Vice President, Technology Solutions Portfolio, at Fujitsu Technology Solutions. âWe will provide the infrastructure solution required to run SAP BusinessObjects Explorer accompanied with complete integration services, and through our SolutionContract, best-in-class components that enhance business-critical system uptime, delivering a robust, managed dynamic infrastructure to support mission-critical SAP applications.â
âToday SAP delivers a revolutionary new solution that lets employees explore their business at the speed of thought,â said Marge Breya, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Intelligence Platform Group and SAP NetWeaver Solution Management, SAP AG. âWe recognise the contributions that Fujitsu has made to help ensure our customers have the best possible experience with SAP BusinessObjects Explorer. We will continue to co-innovate with our ecosystem, and look forward to ongoing successful collaborations with Fujitsu.â
Fujitsuâs robust, scalable infrastructure in support of SAP applications shall enable customers to reduce the time required for system planning and implementation, consequently mitigating costs. Designed to scale in line with customer needs, business intelligence implementations shall easily be extended to provide extra capacity as required.
In addition to integration and consulting services, Fujitsuâs SolutionContract offering provides comprehensive maintenance and support services for users of SAP solutions. SolutionContract encompasses not only the classic reactive services but also proactive services that identify critical system conditions at an early stage. This means that issues can be identified and preventive measures can be taken before serious problems occur. The solution approach behind SolutionContract also covers additional third party components, for example EMC storage and the Novell SuSE Linux operating system, which are included in the service management package.
