SIX Telekurs expands in the USA and opens an office in San Francisco

8 July 2009

To better serve a growing customer base on the West coast of the United States, SIX Telekurs has opened an office in San Francisco.

“SIX Telekurs has long understood that the best way to ensure high quality products and world-class customer service is to be close to our markets”, said Barry Raskin, Managing Director of SIX Telekurs in the Americas. “By having on-the-ground staff in California, we are eliminating the difficulties of time zones, and positioning ourselves to be as responsive as possible to our existing and future customers.”

Serving local markets with local staff is a strategy that SIX Telekurs has pursued for many years. The company sources financial information – including pricing and reference data on more than five million international securities – through its network of offices and branches in 23 countries. This approach ensures that employees responsible for data collection and customer service are well versed in the local market conventions, speak the local language and are available in the local time zones.

“Our approach to content gathering and customer service are two sides of the same coin. It is an investment that pays big dividends to our customers”, said Fritz Hediger, Head of International Sales at SIX Telekurs. “We are already serving some of the region’s biggest firms and institutions, and we look forward to continuing to serve their financial information needs through our new local point of contact.”

SIX Telekurs’ offices in San Francisco are located in the heart of the financial district at One Market Street. Customers and prospects will be contacted directly for introduction to the local staff.
