The award is presented annually to the company that achieves long-term positive influence on improving the payments industry, excellence in technology or levels of service, and is a leader in applying best practices. The winner is selected by a majority vote of ATMIA members in 50 countries. Fiserv was nominated for its iComTM cash forecasting system by Cardtronics, the worldâs largest non-bank ATM operator. Cardtronics recently evaluated leading cash management solutions and chose the Fiserv iCom system, due to its ASP option, which facilitates economies of scale for the entire Cardtronics network. iComâs automation and configurable business rules have also helped Cardtronics to significantly lower the incidence of outages and decrease cash levels while increasing ATM availability.
âAt Cardtronics, we are always looking for innovative ways to achieve scale in our operations,â said Mike Clinard, president of global services for Cardtronics. âThe iCom systemâs superior cash supply chain management, forecasting ability and application service provider (ASP) model have assisted us in reducing costs, and has allowed us to reallocate resources elsewhere within our organization. We believe Fiserv is more than deserving of the Industry Award of Excellence.â
Mike Lee, chief executive officer of the ATM Industry Association added that, âThe ATM industry has been based on innovative technology from its inception. The 2008 Excellence award recognizes that Fiservâs iCom cash forecasting system is an enabling technology with the potential to enhance the ATM business model.â
âWe were honored to be nominated by Cardtronics and are very pleased to be recipients of the 2008 ATMIA and ATMmarketplace.com Industry Award for Excellence,â said Chris Anderson, president, Fiserv Cash & Logistics. âThe award is a testament to our commitment to client service and demonstrates the scale and scope of our capabilities. We look forward to continuing to help our clients succeed in the industries and markets that we serve.â
Fiserv will be presented with the award at the annual ATMIA conference, The ATM Industry: Change in Composition, in Nashville, February 10-12, 2009. Inquiries about this major annual industry trade show should be directed to Dana Benson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 605-582-7058.
