Tripwire Joins the Society of Payment Security Professionals

17 April 2009

Tripwire, Inc. announces that it has become an organisational member of the Society of Payment Security Professionals (SPSP), founded by The Aegenis Group, an authority on PCI training internationally. The SPSP was created in response to the urgent need to protect the vast amounts of sensitive customer data associated with online and offline transactions. The Society provides a common forum for members to share information and best practices for payment card security.

“We are excited to have Tripwire join as a member of the Society given its strong leadership within the market on topics related to the PCI standard and data security best practices,” said Chris Mark, CPISM/A, CISSP, CIPP, Founder at SPSP. “The Society will benefit from Tripwire’s research and deep expertise, bettering the industry as a whole.”

“The industry is in need of an organisation like the SPSP, that is focusing on the specific needs of businesses that seek better ways to protect sensitive customer data,” said Ed Rarick, Tripwire PCI Evangelist. “We are excited to be part of the growing SPSP movement and look forward to contributing to the community.”

Society members come from a variety of businesses including card brands, merchants, acquirers, ISOs, and software companies. Tripwire’s flagship software product, Tripwire Enterprise, is the market-leading Enhanced File Integrity Monitoring solution preferred by the payment card industry for continuous compliance and security control.
