John Ferguson, K2 COO, Joins PerTrac Advisory Board

PerTrac Financial Solutions today announced the addition of John Ferguson, Chief Operating Officer of fund of hedge funds manager K2 Advisors, to the PerTrac advisory board. Mr. Ferguson will serve for two years on the board, advising PerTrac on product development and overall strategic direction. PerTrac offers a suite of software solutions for investment professionals, including the PerTrac Analytical Platform, the world’s leading desktop application for investment analysis and asset allocation.

K2 Advisors, which manages approximately $8 billion in funds of funds, is headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut and has offices in New York City, Chicago, London, Tokyo, Sydney, and Hong Kong.

Mr. Ferguson joined K2 Advisors in April 2005 following four years with Deutsche Bank in New York City and Summit, New Jersey, where he was a Managing Director and the Global Chief Administrative Officer of DB Absolute Return Strategies. At DB ARS, Mr. Ferguson was responsible for product development and the non-investment activities of the DB ARS hedge funds, which encompassed a full range of single manager hedge funds and fund of hedge funds products. Earlier in his career, Mr. Ferguson was a portfolio manager at SEAF, a Washington DC-based venture capital company. He was the portfolio manager of a fund in Eastern Europe, and lived in Tallinn, Estonia. Prior to that, he was a lawyer at Kramer Levin in New York City, where he was a member of the Financial Services Group. Mr. Ferguson holds a LL.M. (Taxation) from New York University, a JD/MBA cum laude from Indiana University, and a B.A. (Economics) from Cornell University.

Mr. Ferguson joins ten other members of the PerTrac advisory board chosen for their industry knowledge and expertise. The board was formed in 2006 and is currently chaired by Josh Lewis, Founder and Managing Principal of Salmon River Capital, a private equity/venture capital firm that invested in PerTrac in 2005.
