Commenting on this yearâs ceremony, William Wright, Editor of Financial News, stated:
2008 has seen enormous challenges and developments in the financial IT landscape across markets globally. The traditional structures of stock exchanges and trading platforms have been tested by new market forces and all eyes will continue to observe the impact of regulation such as MiFID well into 2009. We are delighted to be able to recognise some of the leaders in this innovative market and reward them for their role in pushing the boundaries and developing efficient markets for all participants.
